Happy 4th of July!

As some of you might know... fireworks have not been my favorite thing but I think I am finally ok with them. Last weekend we went to some at the school and I had a horrible time. But Saturday we tried it again. First we got up in the morning and went to the beach. I had so much fun playing in the sand with mommy and daddy. And we took our rafts which were fun to ride the waves into shore. Then we went to Beaufort... I fell asleep on the way there. But when I woke up we were at the park and waiting for the fireworks. We sat and ate strawberries and grapes and watched some really cool fireworks. I stayed awake all the way home so when we got home we set off a few more fireworks. It really was a great day!

Yesterday we spent the day together as a family just having fun. There is a really cool place I love to eat at in Walterboro, SC. Here is me on the piggy out front with my teddy bear Boomer.

Sleep Walking???

My mom and dad think I might be a sleep walker. I have done it for some time but night before last was the straw that broke the camels back. Daddy woke up for work and asked mommy where I was...she said in his bed I am assuming. He said No and chaise ensued. They found me sound asleep under their bed. So now they put a gate up at my door so they are sure to hear me up and about. It was actually pretty funny after everyone calmed down a little bit. Mommy had already talked to my Dr about it and he said it was pretty common for kids my age. Maybe I will grow out of it...Maybe not who knows.

The Last Few Days

We have been taking it easy the last few days. Daddy had a cold, now mommy has one and I am trying to not get it. My Felix is getting really big so I thought I would share some new pics of him. There are some pics of me working on puzzles in my daddy's office. I have a desk in there to do work on. Today we went to Savannah to run some errands and I made a new bear at Build-a-Bear. They sent me a coupon in the mail for my birthday so I got my teddy bear that I named Boomer Bear. I carried him around all day today. And at Bass Pro Shop I went fishing for bucket fish. I did really well but didn't catch them. But tonight we went to Bluff Fest 2009. It's a fun little thing at the high school with fireworks at the end. Well as most of you know I HATE fireworks. I thought if I brought my "ears" sound muffs that it would be ok...well that was until I got there at least. It was so hot, I did not have a nap today, and I was still scared they were going to be loud. After putting on my ears and still clinging to my momma, I watched 2-3 go off and buried my head the rest of the time. I didn't cry; I just didn't watch them. And after it was over...well then I was very happy and said I had so much fun. Later when we got home we plugged in our holiday lights outside. They are red, white, and blue for the holidays coming up and we also put our flags back out in the yard.

Happy Father's Day!!

Sunday was Father's Day so we spent the day with my Daddy!! I love him so so much. We went fishing out at Sargent Jasper Park. Daddy caught a HUGE fish. It was the biggest one I have ever seen caught. We had a lot of fun even though it was super duper HOT! Then we ate a picnic lunch and came back home. Later we dropped daddy off to fish in the Farm while me and mommy cooled off in the pool. Later we took him to Wild Wings to eat. That is where we went for our first Father's Day together. So much fun

This week has been great... I have made really good friends and had so much fun. Me and mommy made chocolate trains for my friends and some very special people I met this week. My daddy went to church with me tonight and listened to all the songs we got to sing this week. I got to take home my boomerang that I painted and my certificate of completion for VBS. This is my very first one but there will be more to come!! Here are a few more pictures to finish up the week and also a pic of the temperature in my mommy's truck!! The heat index reached 113 here today! Really hope the pool opens up again soon; the motor needed replaced in the system!

VBS

Tonight was the last "real" night of vacation bible school. Tomorrow night we will have family night at the church and it's all over with. I have had so much fun. Mommy even made me two shirts with Pawpaw's iron-ons. They are so cool and I like to wear them. (thanks pawpaw) Here are a few more pictures from the last few night. Enjoy!!!

Also today mommy and I went to my first "Bookworm" movie. We saw the "The Tale of Despereaux"; I am little so to get into the movie I didn't have to write a book report but I did have to color a picture. It was a really good movie. But the thing that really sticks out in my mind was the little boy who sat behind us and got his head stuck in the seat!!! Now I know why mommy tells me to sit still and be good at the movies. The little boy was fine after they got him unstuck...he even got checked out by firemen.

Vacation Bible School

Sunday my mommy took me to my first Vacation Bible School. I have been going to Okatie Baptist Church all week long. It has been so much fun and I have made so many new friends. We will more than likely be starting Sunday School there too. Everyone is super nice! I have learned the B-I-B-L-E song and like to sing it all the time. We are very tired this week so here are a few pics and I will tell you more about my journey on the Boomerang Express later this week.
